HERNÁN GARRIDO-LECCA

Hernán Garrido-Lecca was born in Lima in 1960. He´s an economist, entrepreneur, writer and inventor. He holds a B.S. in Economics from Universidad del Pacífico, a Masters degree in Administration from Harvard University, a Masters degree in Science and Technology from MIT, and a Doctorate in Applied Economics from Universidad de Sevilla. Between 1985 and 1989, he was the Foreign Debt Negotiator for Peru and Vice-President and
CEO of Interbank. Between 1990 and 1992, he was an Investment Officer for IFC-Worl Bank in Washington DC.
He has served as Housing Minister (2006-2007) and Health Minister (2007-2008) for the Peruvian Government. He´s been a print, radio and television journalist. He´s a children´s book author and has
published more than 30 books, many of wich have obtained literary awards. Two of his books have been made into movies, Pirates in the Pacific (2005), the first computer animated motion picture in Latin America, and Dragons, Destiny of Fire (2006). He also acted as producer in both films, as well as producing the live-action film El acuarelista in 2008.

Hernán is President of the Peruvian Inventors Society and has registered 8 patents, two of them in the United States of America. His company Acuicola Mares del Sur was awarded the National Innovation-Technology Award in 2016, among other important mentions. He´s the President of Auster Energia (renewable energy) and the founder of BioPencil.
HGL has been publishing children´s books for the past 25 years. His work is included in the mandatory reading plan for schools in 9 Latin American countries and in Spain. Milagros was launched in this European country last year, and the book has sold more tan 20,000 copies, making it a bestseller.

EDUARDO SCHULDT

He´s an entrepreneur and pioneer of the animation industry in Latin America.
Eduardo is a prolific director of movies, commercials and virtual experiences. He
has directed several dozen commercials and special effects.

Among his most notable works are The Dolphin, Story of a Dreamer (Writer and
Director), a film distributed by 20th Century Fox, Pirates in the Pacific (Director),
Dragons, Destiny of Fire (Director), and Condorito, the Movie (Director).
He has also developed experiences for interntional franchises such as The Walking
Dead and Game of Thrones.
Schuldt´s movies have been seen in more than 45 countries and have reached
more than 50 million people, making them the most popular Peruvian films around
the world.
